Instructions
If you're as excited as I am about this mint watermelon lemonade, then go ahead and read the directions. I promise you this recipe is so easy that you'll want to make it again and again.
- First, make the mint syrup by combining the water, sugar and mint leaves in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil over high heat, then lower the heat and let the mixture simmer for 2 minutes.
2. Strain the syrup through a fine mesh sieve and let it cool to room temperature.
3. Then make the lemonade. Add the lemon juice into a 2 cup measure. Next add the mint syrup. Top it off with enough water to reach the 2 cup mark. Then pour the lemonade into a pitcher.
4. Put the chopped watermelon into a blender and blend until smooth. Strain the watermelon through the fine mesh sieve into the lemonade pitcher. Add ice and stir to combine.
Hint: Strain the mint syrup into a 2 cup measuring cup then allow to cool to reduce the number of dishes
