This Caesar Pasta Salad combines the classic flavors of a Caesar salad with tender ziti pasta and homemade croutons. Ingredients

  • 2 slices white bread
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cups romaine lettuce
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup uncooked ziti pasta
  • 1/4 cup Caesar Dressing without Anchovies

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Cut bread into small pieces, using a knife make 3 cuts long ways and turn the bread and make 3 more cuts so it's 16 croutons. Heat the butter in the skillet over medium heat. Add in the pieces of bread. Cook stirring often, until they are golden and toasty and crisp. Take off of heat.
  3. Place the chopped romaine in a large bowl with the black pepper. Drizzle with 2 tablespoons of Caesar dressing.
  4. Toss the lettuce well so everything is coated. Add in the cooked pasta and toss it well.
  5. Add in 2 tablespoons more of the Caesar dressing and ensure all of the food is coated.
  6. Top with the bread croutons.
