Renal Diet Hq Share – Artificial Vs. Natural SweetenersIn the realm of renal diets, many people have the desire to cut their calories.  I know it can be hard to cut out the things that you love.  And I hear time and again that “artificial sweeteners” are bad for you.  So is high blood sugars and weight, but I don't hear much about that.  Listen, the bottom line is that I like to read the latest information about how any part of your diet affects you.  And this article is reassuring about that:

https://www.cnn.com/2014/08/09/health/natural-sweeteners/index.html?hpt=he_c2

From the article itself:

“One thing's certain: As a range of new studies continues to show that sugar is a major factor in not only obesity but heart disease, inflammation and other chronic health conditions, many experts now advocate controlling added sugar intake in the diet as much as possible.”

High fructose corn syrup and sugar itself add lots of calories and your body could do without them.
